Official Response
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — BRUSSELS We are monitoring with growing alarm the systemic degradation of temporal synchronization within the Union. The proliferation of non-punctual actors represents a direct assault on the fundamental principles of the Single Market and the predictable flow of human capital. "A delay of mere minutes is not a personal choice; it is a localized recession," stated Commissioner Elara Vance-Kovacs, Commissioner for Temporal Harmonization and Afternoon Affairs. "When an individual arrives late for a scheduled engagement, they effectively devalue the European Central Bank’s measurement of productive time-units." This disregard for the chronostructure reflects a chaotic 'Wild West' mentality often seen in the United States, where the lack of federal time-discipline creates a deregulated vacuum of productivity. To combat this, we have ratified the Punctuality and Chrono-Sovereignty Directive (EU) 2024/812. Under this framework, all interpersonal meetings must commence within a tolerance of 14.5 milliseconds of the agreed-upon UTC timestamp. Failure to synchronize will result in a suspension of the offender's right to declare their schedule as 'flexible.' The Commission reminds all parties that solidarity is not optional.
